Hudson, senior

In his second year playing varsity tennis, Anketell earned a win against Gardner in doubles. Born with the muscle condition spastic paraplegia, he formed his own foundation called Adaptive Sports Awareness. He’ll attend Arizona.

Old Rochester, junior

A junior shot putter and discus thrower, Chandler was selected by Adaptive Sports USA to attend the 2018 IWAS Youth World Games in Athlone, Ireland, this summer. Chandler, who has dwarfism, also played field hockey this past fall.

Woburn, junior

A member of both the cross-country and track teams, Isles is the fastest cross-country runner in the history of the program despite severe visual impairment. His talent in distance running helped the Tigers win the Middlesex title.

Nashoba Valley Tech, junior

Kimball, a member of the cross-country and track teams, has shattered the school’s cross-country course record with a time of 17:32 despite being legally blind. He helped lead his team to second place at the State Vocational meet.

Matt Freitas

Catholic Memorial, junior

Freitas split time this year at the varsity lacrosse level as the starting goalie. The junior had his lower right leg amputated at age 11 after a car accident. He was awarded the Keith Durham Heart and Soul Award at Catholic Memorial.

Bishop Feehan, senior

Born with spina bifida, Williamson is a four-year member of the swim team. She graduated No. 4 in her class and will attend Northeastern. She’s a two-time winner of the team “Rock” Award for perseverance, work ethic, and spirit.
