Caroline Curtis of Holbrook headlines Players of the Week

 Caroline Curtis, Holbrook — In the Bulldogs’ season-opening 10-2 win over Westport, the senior pitcher put together an all-around performance by striking out 14 batters and going 3 for 3 with four RBIs.

 Skylar Dubois, Greater New Bedford — The junior struck out four in a complete-game 9-2 win over Apponequet last Wednesday, marking her recovery from an injury last season. In Friday’s 14-1 win over Old Rochester, Dubois went 3 for 4 with a single, double, and triple.

 Giana LaCedra, Lowell — The freshman had an impressive start, pitching a four-hitter in an 11-1 win over sixth-ranked Braintree, then striking out a program-record 19 batters in a 9-1 win over Westford.

 Ella Maher, Newton North — The freshman went 4 for 5 and drove in the go-ahead run in th eighth inning to lead the Tigers to a 7-6 win over Woburn on Friday.

 Sydney McKay, Gloucester — The senior captain tossed two complete games in the Fishermen’s opening games. She struck out six in a 4-3 win over St. Mary’s, then fired a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts in a 4-0 victory over Saugus.

  Maya Zukowski, Duxbury — The Dragons’ junior captain pitched a no-hitter against Patriot League rival Pembroke last Thursday, striking out 11 in a 2-0 win.
